Welcome and join us for Sunday Worship Service 11 AM
God spoke into the spirit of Rev. Medearis to begin a ministry. In obedience to God, The
Church of Life, a non-denominational ministry was organized on Dec 15, 2020. Three
people attended the meeting to organize the church: Rev. Medearis, Sister Angelika
Medearis and Rev. Nathan Hogan. Rev. Hogan served as moderator and received Rev.
and Sis. Medearis as the first members of the church.
The first worship service was held on Sunday, February 7, 2021 in the conference room of
the Comfort Inn, located in Eden Prairie.
Our founding pastor, Ronnie Medearis, Jr. was raised around the gospel. His grandfather was his first pastor and instructor in the ministry. The life of ministry was not at all what Pastor Medearis had in mind, but God had other plans.
When Pastor Medearis was just 9 years old, the family home burned down with him, his younger brother, two cousins, and step father all in the home. Pastor Medearis, his younger brother and step father survived this devastating event while the two cousins did not. God’s purpose and plan were in place.
Years later in September of 2000, he welcomed his daughter into the world. During the first days of her life, there were severe complications and his precious gift was struggling to stay alive. He went to the hospital chapel and began to pray. He asked God to spare the life of his daughter and allow her to live, and he would do whatever God was calling him to do. His daughter is now a young adult and has never suffered from this condition again. Eleven months later, Ronnie Medearis Jr, was ordained into the ministry on August 12, 2001. He preached his first sermon titled "I Once Was Lost but Now I’m Found" at his grandfather’s church, Valley Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
In May 2009, Rev. Medearis graduated from Calvary Cathedral Bible School in Fort Worth, Texas with a major in Biblical teaching/Theology.
Minister Medearis' first position was minister/teacher for the youth department.
Years later he accepted the position of Youth Pastor and later on became Assistant Pastor.
God has given Pastor Medearis the opportunity to learn, study and preach in Methodist, Baptist, Church of God Christ, Lutheran, and Non-Denominational churches.
After 20 years in the ministry, the Lord sent Pastor Medearis to Eden Prairie and blessed him to start a church, The Church of Life, a non denominational church located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Pastor Medearis is married to the beautiful Angelika Viewins. They are the proud parents of three lovely young ladies, Taborah, Armani, and Ronae.
First Lady Angelika Medearis is well known for her cheerful spirit and her willingness to worship. Aside from the First Lady’s natural roles as a wife and mother, her dedication to the ministry is tremendously commended. As she walks along side her husband, she efficiently helps to manage the church’s business, and is always willing to assist in any capacity. Her role as a First Lady is like none other. She is down to earth, jovial and a balanced woman of God.
First Lady Medearis was born and raised in Riesel, Texas by her grandmother, Doris Washington, who taught her, as a child, to become and remain the Woman of God that she is today. The daughter of Clifford Viewins I and the late Judy Washington, her parents also played a vital role in her life. Throughout the years, she served in serval capacities within the church such as Youth Director, Usher Board Secretary, and Young Adult Choir Secretary at Springhill United Methodist Church in Riesel, Texas.
God has blessed First Lady Medearis with the gift of administration which has afforded her the ability to be an outstanding event planner. Her commitment to excellence has been recognized by many when planning events. As she walks in the wisdom and favor of God, the ability to multitask in several capacities is a great asset to the ministry. Her special interest focuses on moral standards of young ladies. She is excited about promoting positive thinking and a forum of excellence into the lives of the up and coming female generation.
First Lady Medearis is grateful to God for placing her in a position to be a helpmeet to a wonderful man of God. Under his tutelage, she has learned so many life-changing lessons, but most importantly, she has learned how to walk in the will of God and to accept the plans He has for her. First Lady Medearis and Pastor Medearis Jr. are proud parents of three daughters.
